  • Greenguerillas - Since 1973 greenguerillas™ has helped thousands of people realize their dreams of turning vacant rubble-strewn lots into vibrant community gardens
  • The Trust for Public Land - Land conservation is central to TPL’s mission. Founded in 1972, the Trust for Public Land is the only national nonprofit working exclusively to protect land for human enjoyment and well-being.
  • Greenthumb - The largest community gardening program in the country, GreenThumb is proud to support community gardens in New York City. We have over 600 member gardens serving 20,000 city residents.
  • La Plaza Cultural and the 9 BC Garden was founded in 1976 with a 1 year short-term lease changed to Greenthumb license in 1996. It consist of 100 ge park and attached garden with approximately 30 plots.
  • American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) was founded in 1979 to help gardening programs share their limited resources, and benefit from each other’s experience and expertise.
  • GoCityKids -We’re a group of veterans of the publishing and online worlds, who reamed up GoCityKids to make our own lives as parents easier. GoCityKids is the city guide and family management tool we’ve always wanted. Aimed at both the city dweller and urban traveler, it appeals to what parents everywhere need — more time.

What CHEFs can provide:

  • An opportunity to further better the community by providing nutritional information to young students.
  • More publicity (support) by hosting CHEFs events at the garden.
  • Offers the opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge of gardening and local sourcing
