Mission:
- The America Reads Challenge calls on all Americans to help ensure that every American child can read well and independently by the end of 3rd grade.
Method:
- Gathering a group of student volunteers from colleges and sending them out to nearby public schools to help teachers with their students.

Target populations:
Colleges/universities for tutors and students at public schools (elementary, middle, high schools).

What CHEFs can provide:
- A direct connection/partnership with college students who are willing to donate their time and effort in reaching this goal.
- An opportunity to further better the community by providing nutritional information to young students.
- More publicity (support) by hosting CHEFs events in the classrooms.
- Volunteers who are familiar with the local public schools’ dynamics and operations.
